What makes THE ROCK unique?
THE ROCK is a unique place. It's easier to experience than describe, but we'll try. People at THE ROCK seek to genuinely worship God the way He wants to be worshiped. We don't take a traditional approach or follow a religious set of rules. When you come to THE ROCK, you'll be journeying with other people just like you. Our Growth Groups place you in a small, friendly environment where you can discuss the day's message and share your burdens. We don't place any expectations on you other than that you come with an open mind and an open heart. If you've been disappointed with Churches in the past, take heart; we're not like other Churches. We believe that you'll find your experience at THE ROCK rewarding and enriching. We're about people.
A Church is not a building or an organization. A Church is made up of people. THE ROCK Assembly of God is about people that want to join together with others in worshiping God, learning about God, and telling others about God. We at THE ROCK are striving to be exactly what God intended the Church to be. We have a 3-fold mission statement: 1) To connect people with God; 2) To connect people with other people; and 3) To connect people with their mission. We do all of this in a variety of ways that impact people of all ages and cultures.

You don’t have to be a member to become a part of THE ROCK. All you have to do is come — the way you are. We welcome all kinds of people at THE ROCK. In fact, the more diverse we are, the more we like it. Part of our experience is our fellowship hour at 9am. People gather in the Common Grounds area for coffee, a snack, and enriching conversation. It’s part of our holistic approach to becoming the people God intended us to be. We’ve learned that our spiritual journey is impacted not only by God, but by each other. Come see for yourself!

Currently, we're taking a short break before our Summer Semester starts. Starting May 30th, we'll be offering the video based series called Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage led by Rich & Konnie Anderson. Pastor Mike will also be leading a Bible study called Heroes of the Bible. Both groups will meet at the church on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. We also still have our discussion groups meeting after the Sunday morning message to pray for one another's needs and to discuss that day's message. |
